Motherboard-install
Question:

How do I get into BIOS to change parameters ? What setting in BIOS should I select first for

smooth sailing ?
Answer:

For Award or AMI BIOS, press or keep hitting 'delete' key during boot-up. If you miss it, try again.

In BIOS, enable power-on or BIOS, safe, or optimum default first, before further twisting.
Question:

What should I do if some device fails to work in Windows 98/95, after upgrading the motherboard ?
Answer:

Remove this device driver and others with '!' and '?' icons on in ControlPanel-System-Device.

Re-boot the system. To reduce chance of IRQ conflicts, disable unused devices which may cause

potential conflicts, in BIOS. Auto detect hardwares in ConrolPanel.

Update newest device drivers, if possible.
Question:

What should I watch out when installing motherboard in the case, after testing boot-up successfully

outside the case ?
Answer:

Install minimum number of add-on cards first. After testing successfully, add one card a time to the

motherboard. Make sure there are at least 2 metal screws fastened to align the board properly. If

you mix non-PnP cards with PnP (plug and play), PCI

cards, in PnP operating system like Windows 9x, you may need to move PCI card to different slot,

to resolve conflict in some situation.
